  7. The QDS, Inc. Job Cost/Job Estimating system consists of two similar modules
  8. that allow anyone in the service industries to apply mainframe cost accounting
  9. techniques to their job estimates, then transfer these estimates directly to
  10. Job Cost system completely integrated with the rest of the QDS accounting
  11. process. The Job Estimate system allows the user to track up to 500 different
  12. job phases and to use "open coding" for job variables such as equipment usage,
  13. labor costs, etc. When used with one of the QDS Inventory programs, it will
  14. access parts in the system and transfer inventory costs automatically to the
  15. estimate. Variable markups, and the ability to recalculate and reprint any
  16. estimate and any time are two more features of the QDS system normally found in
  17. more expensive programs. The separate Job Cost system integrates labor cost
  18. control with the QDS Payroll System parts cost with the QDS inventory system,
  19. and job related invoices through the QDS Accounts Payable System. While each
  20. system can stand alone, use with other QDS ACCOUNTERS programs is strongly
  21. suggested.
